Marianthi Lainas

Born in 1964, Marianthi lives and works at the tip of the Wirral peninsula in North West England. Having spent most of her life living a stone's throw from the sea, she is drawn to the littoral landscape - those dynamic places where sea and land meet.
Inspired by the shifting sands, dunes systems and the timelessness of the tides, her photographic work explores coastal light, colour and form.
When not walking the shores and strands lines close to home, she is a regular traveller to the west coast of Scotland, particularly the Western Isles.
She has exhibited widely in solo and group shows across the UK and her work is held in private collections internationally.
